The Course

Ryan Joyce, PGA
Head Golf Professional
Originally from Wellington, Ohio, Ryan graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in Professional Golf Management. Elected to membership in the PGA of America in 1997, he served as a PGA Professional at Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH, and as Head Golf Professional at Admirals Cove in Jupiter, FL.
Ryan has been at Hawks Ridge since 2002 and currently serves as an At Large Director on the Georgia Section PGA of America Board of Directors and has held various positions over the years.
Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and participating in section events. He recently won the Georgia PGA Pro-Pro tournament with Hawks Ridge Assistant Professional John Parker. Passionate about all aspects of the game, Ryan has extensive knowledge of the golf business and was named Merchandiser of the Year in 2017 by the Georgia Section of the PGA.
Respected in the Georgia golf community, Ryan is known for his expertise, teaching ability, and event management skills, as well as his enthusiasm for providing members with an exceptional golfing experience.

Jon Parker is from Greenwood, South Carolina where he was initially introduced to the game of golf by his grandfather. Much of his early years were spent traveling to junior golf tournaments working on his game. Jon attended Lander University where he was a four-year letterman on the golf team and received All-Conference and All-American Honors as well as a degree in business administration during his tenure. His lone collegiate win came at the Kiawah Island Invitation where he posted a two-round score of 10 under par. Before starting in the golf business, Jon was the director of operations of a commercial landscaping company where he gained knowledge in agronomy as well as management skills. Jon came to Hawks Ridge GC in March of 2023 by way of the Currahee Club in Toccoa, GA, where he was the lead assistant professional for a year. He presents a deep passion for the growth of the game and enjoys teaching players of all skill levels. His experience in playing at a high level serves him well as a mentor and swing coach. Jon recently relocated to Acworth, GA and lives there with his fiance, Lindsey, and their dog, Lincoln. In his spare time, Jon enjoys hiking and fishing as well as many other outdoor recreations.
